Paul Goodrick is a professional sculptor who runs specialised willow sculpture courses in Kent and at other locations throughout the UK. As well as being an international artist with many years experience in designing and running environmental art courses, he is a registered tutor with the British Trust for Nature Conservation Volunteers and an accredited Broxtowe College tutor in willow sculpture.

Introductory courses offer basic techniques for both living willow sculpture and sculpture using withies.

The introductory course covers the following:

(1) To be able to understand the nature of willow and other wood as a flexible medium for sculpture.

(2) To have gained sufficient information to enable participants to make sculptures from willow.

(3) To know what tools to use and how to handle them safely.

(4) To learn where supplies of willow can be obtained and how to harvest it as a sustainable crop.

Approach - mainly by hands on creation of willow sculpture and experimenting with willow.

The maximum number of participants for the course is ten.
